The fun of the day: In the Gucheng Park – “Turn left, then turn right”

Todaaaay I planned to visit the Yu (botanic) Garden. Unfortunately at the entrance the visitors were told ‘only cash’ because the bank reader doesn’t work…. I didn’t have cash to pay so I changed the plan and took the direction to the nearby Gucheng Park instead. I enjoyed it until I needed to use the toilet. I forgot how to say “toilet” in Chinese – and didn’t have the nerves to use that damn translator app, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I found a park guardian and asked him nicely “Toilet???”. He asked back something like “Suzu???” I said nodding, “Suzu”. He showed me the place. Surprisingly it was free of charge and very clean, but it was a Turkish toilet, without a seat. OOOh buoy…I did my best of squatting considering my back pain, but even so, the flow started before I could fully squat, and I got my trousers wet. While I was struggling to reach the optimal squatting position, Google Maps – which I left open when I put my phone in the bag – suddenly announced: “Turn left, then turn right”. I burst out laughing…
