My first “job” was gathering redcurrants in my grandparents’ garden. It resembled a job because I requested payment, secretly hoping for a refusal so I could return to my books. Much to my surprise, my grandpa gave me 3 LEI (my first salary), leaving me with no escape; I had to earn the money. After dedicating an hour to the task, half of which was spent eating, I proclaimed myself exhausted and excused myself for the remainder of the day. Infinite Laughs, Infinite Love.
