I got the invitation from an old acquaintance, whom I’ve known for 30 years… I tend to avoid him whenever possible due to his egocentric, insolent, and grumpy demeanor…. His wife passed away last year, and because of the grief, he has become even grumpier – if that was possible… Nevertheless, I enjoy listening to him discuss his teaching experiences, both in general school and gymnasium….He is a skilled teacher – arts and drawing… On this occasion, it would have been impolite of me to decline his invitation…
