Mercury is my planet; in Alchemy the liquid silver /quicksilver is the chemical symbol of the planet, which – due to its dual liquid/metal nature – it has the symbolic quality to slip between worlds. Spirits say that quicksilver ‘came to symbolize the god Hermes and the great Hermetic secrets of the Alchemy – always sliding away into secrecy just beyond the Alchemist’s grasp’. Infinite Laughs. ‘….it represents the transition between the physical and the unseen worlds…it is the metal of the sacred threshold.’ Yesterday they told me (out of the blue) that I was given the ability ‘to stand at the doorway between worlds and that the sacred threshold requires my attendance’. I would have asked why but I knew that I have to find the answer myself. Reflecting on this I realized that in fact this is the only place where I can feel you, hold you, kiss you, love you: at the doorway between the two worlds. Maybe this is the answer, the reason why my attendance is required. (Un-/subconsciously I knew it, this is why I left my toy tractor in R2 – so that I can give it to you.)
