I remember when they implemented the “no gifts” policy. I was in Sourcing at the time, and one of our suppliers would always bring Godiva Belgian chocolates to the meetings. Almost crying, we handed the chocolate box over to the feline in charge of the “no gifts” policy. The next “gifts” were samples that had been mailed to me: a small bag of cement and a few steel cones — not sure why cones, but I burst out laughing thinking of their possible uses combined with the cement fixture. Giggling, I handed them over to the “no gifts feline” as well.
